Play your “Role” : Life is a sum of multiple acts

I have been thinking what is a way to navigate through the countless things we want to do in our lives? We all want to work hard, we all want to have our name, so many other things but at some point in our life it becomes quite a significant challenge to make strides on all fronts. What if it is actually easy to work on things simultaneously it just needs us to switch our mindset and to start playing a role?

If while coming across a big task that might need one to stay in front of a screen for a long time researching and working hard, if the person tackles the task while playing a role of someone who enjoys being outside, loves hikes, that personality they are coming to work on the task with will make it that much harder to be able to do a great job at the task, why?? Well maybe because the task actually requires playing a role “that enjoys getting stuff done, someone that enjoys challenges, someone who isn’t looking for instant gratification”.

What I am trying to say is that we all play different roles in different situation so we should thrive to make it either very consistent instead of just being on autopilot the whole time. Being aware while switching tasks and being conscious about shifting personality might be a great help in aligning ourselves properly with the tasks “personality” requirement.

Remind yourself why you are switching roles, try to come up with qualities that the role needs to have and why he needs to have to be able to make that situation?

No, I don’t think I ever switch roles, I am the same person the whole time, can you give more examples on people switching roles who don’t think they are?

Sure, how about you currently switching into a role of being a inquirer? Whereas, if someone well known about this topic made the exact same statement instead of doubting claims you would be inclined to take his words seriously. You will likely frantically, start believing his statements and in most cases make certain assessments and come to conclusions that you indeed are switching roles consistently. Which again I want to point out is not a bad thing at all, it is actually a good thing which can be made a superpower, by just being aware about when and how your personality is changing.
